Hyundai Motor India, the second largest car maker of the country is preparing well for this year’s festive season that is now knocking at the door. Like all car manufacturing majors operating in India, Hyundai is also offering many special discounts and offers to make the most of this very favorable profitable period. Apart from various offers there are also of course, the special edition models as well that mark the festivities of India every year. Keeping in line with this tradition, the South Korean car major has launched the special edition model of its massively successful Elite i20 premium hatchback model.

Named as the new Hyundai Elite i20 Celebration edition, the special edition model’s prices are now revealed – Rs. 6.69 Lakhs and Rs. 7.84 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for its petrol and diesel versions, respectively.
The new Celebration Edition model of the Elite i20 in India has come to the market to celebrate the festivities of the country while also commemorating the first successful anniversary of the car in India. The new Hyundai Elite i20 Celebration Edition has been launched by the company in a single model trim, ‘Sportz’ with an exclusive single body color option of Polar White.
The Hyundai Elite i20 Celebration Edition model marks itself apart from its regular Sportz variant with many exclusive features. These include attractive new body graphics, the decal of numeral ‘1’ signifying the first successful anniversary of the premium hatchback, an exclusive 3M Satin Black wrap for the roof, its C-Pillar gets painted in glossy black paint as against its regular counterpart’s C-Pillar painted in matte black paint. The special edition model of the very popular car also flaunts classy aluminium pedals on the inside, while boasting of stylish new 16 inch diamond cut alloys and an exclusive logo on its tailgate to add to its exterior visual appeal which is already very elegant.
Being a special edition model, the Hyundai Elite i20 Celebration Edition offers only cosmetic updates for its prospective buyers, while keeping everything intact under its hood. Thus, the special edition model will pack in the same petrol and diesel engine options under its hood as its regular avatar. For the petrol variant, there is the same 1.2 liter Kappa petrol motor that has the capability to offer the max power output of 83 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 4,000 rpm and is coupled with a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. On the other hand, the diesel version is powered by a 1.4 liter diesel motor has the ability to deliver the power of 89 hp and torque output of 219 Nm and is mated with a 6 speed manual transmission.
While the new Celebration Edition model of the Elite i20 commemorates the first anniversary of the premium hatchback, Hyundai Motor India has also launched new flagship variants on both the Elite i20 hatchback and the i20 Active crossover featuring touchscreen infotainment system.
